Still in Utah...

So our plans to go home to Kansas City were foiled. Apparently there was a huge snow storm in KC and the airport was shut down for the day. Our flight was canceled with the opportunity to fly to Atlanta tonight, stay the night, and then fly to KC in the morning. Uh, no thanks. Not with Jack. So the next direct flight to KC is Monday at 1:30. We'll be on it.
The good thing is, we got 2 more days of vacation. Yeah!

Bored again, but not for long.

Chuck's downstairs studying for his last final tomorrow. I can't wait until he's done. I've been so bored!!! I've had to watch all our shows this week by myself. Even Lost, which was amazing by the way. He's had me study with him a couple times. Now, Chuck is much smarter than me,(or so he thinks)but that means I just had to get more creative in school with how I learned things. For some reason we named Chuck's love handles Gray and Turner. I don't remember why but at least he got that question right on the test.

Uh...

So I'm supposed to be having a fight with my husband right now but he fell asleep while I was talking. The sad thing is, this isn't the first time. I don't think this is normal. Anyone?

Things that bug/ Things that don't bug

Things that bug
1. Wal-Mart!!!!
2. Mean drivers
3. Yucky Missouri water
4. Not having any nail polish remover in the house, so my toes are all multi colored
5. Not having tweezers because Jack pooped on them and I didn't have the stomach to clean them off and now I look like Bert
6. "Food stamps accepted here," signs at the liquor store down the street. Seriously? People can get liquor with food stamps? Fo real?
7. My cats

Things that don't bug
1. Jack with his beach ball
2. My family (see y'all next week!)
3. When Chuck puts Jack to bed
4. Skipping sunday school so Jack can take a nap
5. my good life
6. Free refills on diet coke
7. My cats
8. Target!!!

So Bored...

I'm so bored that I've decided to blog about how bored I am. Chuck is studying and our junk TV from Wal-Mart is on the fritz. I hate Wal-Mart, but back to the topic at hand. I'm not just bored today it's like a general feeling I have. I don't typically get bored. I was one of those kids who decided to make my own recycled paper just for the heck of it. So I decided to Google hobbies to see what came up. I'm choosing between: casino gambling, bird watchings, dance (yeah right), remote control vehicles, salt water aquariums, fresh water aquariums and playing the guitar. We do have a Harrahs and Ameristar right down the road, and even the Isle of Capri, but my funds are limited, so I don't think that will work out. I have started enjoying cooking a lot more lately, but seriously you can only eat so much.

Three years and counting!

Chuck and I are celebrating our three year anniversary today. Well, I use the word celebrate loosely. Chuck will be studying and I will be visiting teaching. The last year has been my favorite with Chuck. I feel very blessed that I am able to stay home with Jack and that when Chuck has time off we don't need to worry about whether I'm working or not. I love you Chuck. Happy anniversary!

Coming Home!

I think everyone who reads our blog already knows that we will be coming home March 21st for a visit. I'm so excited to see everyone and I'm excited for Jack to be exposed to everyone I love a little more. Living away from home has had its challenges but I'm truly happy in my life right now. I was reading an article on the 10 more depressing cities in the U.S. I decided I wasn't going to buy into it. I really believe you can make anywhere feel like a home.

Our Mutual Cousin!

Chuck: This is my new cousin, Abe.
Eliza: No, he's my new cousin!
Jack: Both wrong.  He's my first cousin once removed, twice!

(Thanks haypatch.com for letting us steal the pictures!)

Heat Wave!

Yesterday it was 80 degrees and almost unpleasant. It was wonderful. The next three days are supposed to be in the 70's. I'm loving it.
