Home pics

I never thought the day would come when Jack would be old enough to scribble on the walls. Carlie, I'm sorry for laughing at Max when he wrote over your entire living room with green marker.... and for laughing at Halle when she colored her whole body purple.
Jack and his kitty Vincent.
I love when he'll wear hats.
Keep looking I posted 2 other posts today.

Zoo pics

We went to the zoo this week with some friends from the ward. We found out the Zoo is free to residents in Oct. and Nov. Jack was traumatized every time he was pulled from something he wanted to see longer. He also hates the stroller. He would rather walk everywhere by himself so he could lead the way. Too bad for him. I think the kids had fun even though Jack was drama the whole time.

Food kept him in the stroller.

Can't wait for sledding

They kept doing this over and over again.

Corn Maze

Chuck and I are both YM/YW leaders in our ward. Jack gets dragged along to most activities. We recently went to a corn maze and Jack froze his little face off. But I thought he was sure cute in his winter coat.

Random Pics

It's been awhile since I've posted any new pictures so I decided it's about time. Chuck made me this cake for my birthday last month. It was soooo good. Chocolate cake with hazelnut toffee mixed into a mascapone frosting. I'm definitely requesting it again next year. For dinner he made an unusual but delicious carbonara. It's my husband so domestic.

We found a really fun walking trail along the river.

Chuck rented a tiller so we can plant a garden in the spring.
Jack playing tools with his friend Eden.

Ok, so I know all these pictures are really random but just go with it. That's a cinnamon stick in Jack's hand. He got it from a man we buy our herbs from. He loved it.
Oh, and in case you're wondering... my pie was a DISASTER! Don't worry I have a back up planned.

Time for pie

So, some of you might know I've been obsessed with all things cooking the past 6 months or so. Maybe longer. Before I continue, let me clarify one very important point here. I am not saying I'm any good, or have any amazing recipes or anything like that. Ok, now that that is cleared up I can continue. Anyway, now that I'm actually trying to be a home cook there are a few recipes I feel like it's time I attempt. First one on the list is pie. For a long time I thought I hated pie so as a result I never tried making one. I recently realized I love pie and feel cheated for missing out on so many Thanksgiving desserts. So this week I'm going to attempt my first pie. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little scared. Chuck has been wanting pie to I think. We went to T.J. Maxx recently and he picked out a very cute pie dish. By the way, if y'all aren't looking at T.J.'s for cooking stuff you're missing out. If anyone has an amazing pie recipe for me let me know. Next up, roasts.
